Consuela Rendon
Consuela lived in the village of Tzintzuntzan in Michoacán, once the center of the Purepecha empire. Her primitive white and brown clay pottery is known around the world. The images depict simple everyday life situations from the villages around the lake. She was well known for her charming designed painted plates, angels and sirenas. She left this life in October of 2016. None of her children will continue the work. We will miss her and her beautiful folk art.
